What's going on?
Easter Holidays
- Opportunities to make friends, get creative, run around, explore and try new things and most importantly have fun!
- Children can choose to participate in as many activities and workshops as they like.
- Many Exciting Easter planned craft activities, baking, nature walks, glitter tattoo station, design, decorate and create and play in our own shop and a pirate ship, egg and spoon races, plant a sunflower and much much more. Please click on our full list above.
- NEW!!! RUGBY Coach. A visiting rugby coach will be joining us for a fun filled rugby workshop on Wednesday mornings of the 16th and 23rd of April.
- LEGO Club sessions. A selection of Lego sets ready to be built, led by one of our team. Monday the 14th of April and Friday the 25th of April.
- MULTI SPORTS Coach. A visiting multi sports coach will be joining us for an action packed workshop on Tuesday mornings of the 15th and 22nd of April.
- In addition to our planned activities we have continuous play with arts and craft, construction (K-NEXX, Lego, Mega Blocks) dressing up and role play areas table top games (jig-saws, wooden train track) team games, quiet cozy chill area with books, puppets, blankets and cushions.
- Den building, multi sports equipment, TV/DVD/Xbox, free run of our inside and outside space.
- A secure, safe, caring environment for children to enjoy their school holidays.
- Breakfast and healthy afternoon snacks are provided, please bring a packed lunch and a refillable drinks bottle.

Please note that bookings for sessions will close at 17:30 the day before the scheduled session. For Monday sessions, bookings will close at 17:30 the preceding Friday.

Book your child’s place
Open to all children, reception-11 years, our holiday clubs are packed full of daily engaging activities.
Our day at Holiday Club:
Arrival Times
7:45 a.m.
We are open and ready for play from 7:45am.
Breakfast Buffet
7:45 a.m. – 09:00 a.m.
Children can help themselves to a range of breakfast options:
Self service cereal station, fresh seasonal fruit, yoghurts, toast.
Milk or water to drink.
Short Day Arrival.
09:00 a.m.
Please note this session does not include breakfast or afternoon snacks.
Activities and play
7:45 a.m. – 12:00pm
Children can take part in many structured activities. Get creative, build dens, play with friends, take part in sports. Luckily for us we are a permanent building so we have an array of equipment and activities on offer and on rotation as well as the seasonal planned activities such as create your own slime!

Afternoon Snack Buffet

A range of healthy snacks are on offer at our afternoon self service buffet. Children can make up their own wraps/bagels with various fillings and help themselves to crackers, rice cakes, fresh fruit, hummus, vegetable sticks and salad.

What to bring?
- Breakfast and healthy afternoon snacks are provided, along with water and milk.
- Your child will need a packed lunch each day, please be mindful that we don't allow any nut products on the premises for allergy reasons.
- Please bring a refillable drinks bottle.
- Please bring warm coats, hats gloves in winter. Please apply sunscreen before coming to club in the warmer months along with a summer hat.
- Please do not bring mobile phones or tablets.
- Your child is welcome to bring their own scooter, helmet and favourite games, which they are responsible for. We can not be held responsible for any damages.
About us
Hursthead out of school club has use of its own comfortable building in the school grounds, sole use of the school hall, play ground and playing fields.
ALL our staff are trained and are kept up to date in Paediatric First Aid.
For the 36 years that Elm Cottage has been caring for children we have always believed that every member of our team should be trained in and kept up to date in paediatric first aid, this is something we have felt very strongly about and has been implemented since first opening in 1989.
We now work with Millie’s Trust regularly and are proud to also provide support for our parents/carers with evening paediatric first aid workshops across our nursery settings.
