Structured Activities
This February Half Term is bursting with hands-on fun! Children will get stuck into weaving baskets, making dinosaur masks and salt dough keepsakes, baking tasty treats, mixing colourful slime, building recycled aquariums and creating with lolly sticks. There’ll be lots of outdoor adventure too, with nature walks, scavenger hunts, nature collages and brilliant den-building fun — plenty to explore, create and enjoy every single day!
🎨 Planned Activities This February Half Term
Weaving Baskets
Children will weave strips of paper, ribbon or natural materials into a prepared base to create their own basket, helping develop fine motor skills and concentration.
Dinosaur Mask Making
Using card, paint, pens and collage materials, children can design and decorate their own dinosaur mask, encouraging creativity and imaginative play.
Salt Dough Keepsake Handprints
Children will make salt dough, press their handprints and decorate them once dry, creating a special keepsake to take home.
Slime Making
A supervised sensory activity where children explore colour mixing and textures while creating their own slime to enjoy and take home.
Baking Sessions
Children will help measure, mix and decorate simple baked treats, learning basic cooking skills and enjoying the results of their hard work.
Recycled Cereal Box Aquariums
Using cereal boxes or shoeboxes, children will design underwater scenes with painted backgrounds and hanging fish, encouraging creativity and reuse of materials.
Lolly Stick Creations
Children will use lolly sticks and glue to build models such as bridges, houses or characters, supporting problem-solving and teamwork.
Nature Walks & Scavenger Hunts
Guided walks where children explore their surroundings, spotting colours, shapes and natural objects while learning about the world around them.
Nature Collages
Children will use leaves, twigs and petals collected on walks to create natural artwork, combining creativity with outdoor exploration.
Den Building
Working together, children will build dens using blankets, pegs, chairs or outdoor materials, developing teamwork, imagination and confidence.
Workshops
RUGBY . We’re excited to welcome a visiting rugby coach for a fun-filled, action-packed rugby workshop! Children will learn new skills, build confidence, and enjoy a fantastic team experience.
LEGO Club. With easy-to-follow instructions, children will build fun LEGO models, either on their own or together with friends. Our team will guide them every step of the way, encouraging creativity, concentration, and teamwork.
MULTI SPORTS. A visiting multi sports coach will lead an action-packed workshop full of fun games and activities. It’s the perfect way for children to try different sports, build skills, and stay active!
CREATIVE DANCE. This is a great way to build flexibility, strength, and creativity. Together, we’ll learn a vibrant pom-pom dance routine and have the chance to perform it for our friends at the end—cheering each other on all the way!
Please check dates for workshops on the booking page.
